I had stretched to a 4g about 2 or 3 days before I discovered Gorilla Glass, but I made the mistakes of a) stretching waaay too quickly, and b) using plastic jewelry. My earlobe actually had open wounds in it and bled every time I took the plug out, so I was in -DIRE- need of some new jewelry. I wanted something glass, because I knew it was a very neutral material, wasn't too expensive, came in a variety of colors and looked cool.

I hopped on Modified Mind in search of some non-pricey glass pieces, and came upon Gorilla Glass. A single solid glass plug was only $8, so I decided to go for it. Shipping was $4, and with 8.25% tax, for the one plug my total was only $12.66. Unfortunately, their entire checkout process is manual, leaving it open for errors... so I double-checked my math. Also, they don't accept credit cards directly, so I used PayPal. I had placed my order on a Saturday, but never received a confirmation e-mail (mix up with my e-mail address being de-activated, long story) until I sent them an e-mail asking if they'd received my payment on Monday. I received a reply Tuesday that said they had received it, and it would be shipped that day.

Since I only paid $4 for USPS priority mail, shipping wasn't the fastest thing ever, but not too slow (maybe this was because they're located in Santa Cruz, about a 3 hour drive north of where I live). I received my jewelry on Saturday, so the entire process between ordering and shipping was about a week. Not bad! The piece itself was essentially flawless. Unfortunately, although it is a single-flared plug, they didn't send any o-rings with it. Luckily I had a 6g clear silicone o-ring that worked.

Overall, my experience with Gorilla Glass was a very positive one. Customer service was prompt, shipping was fast and quality was great! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality and well-priced glass body jewelry.

I ordered the crystal bullet holes (single flare Pyrex tunnels) and various Pyrex plugs, I liked these so much that I ordered again Via Internet when I "gauged up" My friends wanted some of this great jewelry too after they saw the quality of Gorilla Glass. Upon ordering I got an email confirmation right away. And had my stuff in a week! The plugs, (mine were single flare black) come with "o" rings. The "bullet holes" come with 'o' rings too, also available in double flare and in many different colors. They are all great! Light weight, smooth with a fine finish and look really good. I especially like the look and feel of the "barbs" these are twisted glass loops with sharp points at each end and have a sort of neo-tribal look to them. These are available in LARGE gauges too. Very hot! My ears love glass! It heals fast in new piercing and can't be beat if you want something different that won't make your ears turn red and swollen like some metals will and won't cause weird infections like some "acrylic" does. It will not weigh down your lobes and the "barbs" are way kewl! I've had people ask if the "honey" color is "amber". Very nice company to do business with. The customer service is fast, from time of ordering to delivery of product. The payment system is not directly linked to the order form so you will have to e-mail them to get the e-mail information if you are paying by PayPal.

The jewelry is reasonably priced, especially the larger gauged pieces.

The claws that I ordered are some of the best that I have seen. They are clear, flawless and the color of them is brilliantly vibrant. The site pictures do not do the actual product justice, but they do give you an excellent idea on what to expect.
