My sister bicycles around campus and it gets COLD here in the winter, so I wanted to get her a PTFE barbell for her industrial so her cartilage wouldn't freeze. I asked her over Christmas break if she would like one from me for a gift and she did so I went to Tuflon, who I'd heard great things about, and bought her one during the Christmas sale. A couple of weeks went by and my sister went back to school with no barbell. After what I consider an extremely generous amount of time, I emailed Total to ask what the status of my order was and received no reply. I tried again once a week for 2 more weeks requesting either proof the product was shipped or a refund and finally received a reply from Total that he was sorry he was swamped and he was sending it out today with an extra barbell just in case. Six month have gone by and I have yet to see either of them.

As for a product review, I couldn't give you one because I have never received the product. My overall experience with Tuflon has been extremely unsatisfactory.

I remember when I went to tuflon.com for the first time. It was candy land. I have been looking for custom plugs for so long to stretch my tongue, and there it was, the perfect solution!

The reviews were also extremely positive so I dove in, ordering $40 of jewelry. I must point out: I live in Canada. After 6 weeks, I contact Total....no answer....I email him again the week after....no answer... I thought: ok, I am not getting those plugs. I finally got it around 8 weeks. But I wasn't happy about their service, clearly , he do not answer his email.

Fortunately, the product was FLAWLESS. The plugs were great and the sizing perfect.

Month later, I ordered again. And once again, after 8 weeks, I email him. No answer......9 week, no answer.....

My IAM (BMEzine.com) membership was expired but since He wasn't answering, I actually bought another IAM membership just to contact him. THEN he answered. Wow. Because I was on IAM. Wow. What happen when you are not from IAM?

He resent them. One of the wrong size. But I told him it was okay....I mean, he seemed to have shipping problem, he seems like a good guy maybe just a little drowned by the business. And his plugs are PERFECT!

How not to forget all trouble with such perfect custom PTFE plugs?

Once again, I ordered from him, 6 weeks ago and have no received the plugs. But this time, I'll wait another 3 weeks to see if I receive the goods before contacting him. Through IAM of course....

So, I guess that for those living in the U.S., Tuflon would get a 100% ...And customer service apart, it deserves it...

As for myself, well, I am done ordering PTFE, done waiting more than 2 month, I rather order Glasswear Studio custom plugs and received them 7 days after.

I ordered 3 PTFE barbells from tuflon.com. I never got them.

I asked my girlfriend where she ordered her one from, turns out it was tuflon.com and the same damn story. And some other people. We're small because we're individuals.

I finally got my piercings re-done with PTFE, but from someone who had it on-hand. Another shop I stopped in at down the street said they'd had trouble getting anything from tuflon.com, as well.

I pestered and pestered...they eventually even stopped answering my emails when I got pushy about getting my lousy $13 refunded, despite the reviews to the contrary.

Tuflon is wonderful, no question about it. The site is incredibly easy to navigate, which is great, considering all of the options that you can add to fit your specific jewelry needs. My one problem is that the grooves are a bit deep, which can be a bit catching on my 4g upper lobe piercings, but a bit of lube or just putting the plugs in after a shower can quickly and easily solve it, if it's even a problem.

Overall, a great place to order from. Great products, perfect customer service, and rapid delivery...even since I paid by Paypal, which has a 3 day waiting period, I had my jewelry within the week.

After searching and searching for "Plain Jane" white, PTFE, plugs I finally found the reference to Tuflon here on MM. I was more than thrilled with my Tuflon experience. I believe there were some issues in the ordering process early on. However, they have been addressed and resolved. Ordering from Tuflon is now very convenient. I paid the extra five dollars for USPS, Priority, Mail and had a turn-around time of about eight or nine days (four or five days to make the plugs and three days shipping.) The quality of the plugs is remarkable. They are exceptionally smooth. There are no "burs" or "scars" in the surface. The sizing is right on the money. A huge selling point for me was the "wearable surface" option. If you are unfamiliar, the "wearable surface" is that between the flares or grooves. I had been battling with a pair of stone plugs that had a 3/8" wearable surface for months. I needed a 1/2" WS, so I ordered a 9/16"! It's been smooth sailing since. Order from Tuflon. You won't be disappointed.

What more can I say about how great Tuflon is? It's owned and operated by a member of the modified community, so you know there's someone who actually cares about the quality of your jewelry.

The ordering process is slightly awkward, but you will end up with jewelry that will fit what you need. If you need something that's not listed on the site, email Total, and he will work with you on making something completely custom for you.

I ordered a set of single-flared, rounded end plugs to stretch my septum with. The 8ga I received was slightly larger than my 8ga Industrial Strength taper, and when I told Total, he immediately made me a new 8ga plug, and a 9ga to go with it, and shipped it to me! That is great customer service.

Tuflon uses pure medical grade PTFE, and FDA/NSF approved o-rings. The jewelry is smooth, and great quality. I will absolutely be ordering more!

I went to tuflon.com a couple weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised when I figured out you could pick how long you want everything and the end type and everything! So I wound up ordering the next day. I ordered first class shipping and it took about a week in all for them to make my jewelry and get it to me. Again I was pleasantly surprised (although they aren't real far from me so I expected fast shipping).

So my order went very well from them, I got my plugs and they were very smooth and unlike any jewelry I have ever had. It looked great and felt great too.

Ordering isn't the easiest thing, it's just a TAD harder than any other place, but that's because you get to pick your own stuff, and that's definitely worth it, you don't wind up with too long or too tight of plugs or jewelry!.

Another good thing is that they accept Paypal! This makes everything go a lot smoother it seems.

Tuflon.com has to be one of the best, and by far the easiest jewelry supplier I have ever been able to work with. The owner has very reasonable prices, for such high quality jewelry. Being able to make your own, custom jewelry with your own dimensions has to be one of the better things he offers on his website. Makes things exactly to your liking. I have ordered too much jewelry from this website to even begin to name it all. Here are a few pieces that I was especially surprised by: My septum stretching set (6.0mm, 6.5mm, 7mm, 7.5mm, all the way up to 9 mm. They were all flawless pieces) Many, many of plugs. Ranging from no flare, double flared, grooves. From 1/2" all the way up to 7/8". Definitely one of the better websites I have been able to work with.
