BME is going to have to have this award, purely for volume alone. No one else out there has collected so many photos and experiences. I do wish there was some quality control out there, and I believe the endlessly repeating navel piercing experiences are diluting the interesting stuff, but that's a personal thing.

BME has one of the most comprehensive and complete sites around. There is everything from pictures of your favorite piercing to experiences by thousands of different people, staff to answer questions you may have, and so many more resources for anyone interested in almost anything.

I just can't deny it, BME is what inspired me in 1995... and it continues to inspire me. There's simply so much on BME, of high quality and good organization, that I can't ignore its value. BME is the only piercing-related website that I visit regularly, and that probably won't change in 2004 (or 2005, or 2006, or...).

To be the man, you gotta beat the man. No one's even come close. The sheer picture content alone is enough to blow the competition out of the water, but then factor in experiences, risks, aftercare, faqs, etc...you just can't find a more complete piercing resource.

I always hate nominating myself, but I don't think there really is anything even close to BME. BME is the only site consistently giving coverage to new piercing knowledge and trends, has disturbingly large amounts of images and experiences, and I think that the attached FAQs, BME/Risks, and other educational tools make it worthy of this award.

I pretty much know that if I need any information, any picture, any experience, or any thing related to body modification, if it isn't on this site, then it probably isn't anywhere else. It's my first and almost only source for bod-mod entertainment. The galleries are updated frequently, the glossary, the FAQ, the Risks, they already had everything before...and now this year there is the addition of guest columns and a more inspired political edge...I really don't think anything else is even close to BME and I can't really think anything will be, ever.

Part of the reason I can't give awards in some of the other categories is because I never have reason to look beyond BME and don't know about the existence of other sites. So once again, congrats to the BME team for doing the best job on the planet.
